CUT TRASH, NOT TREES

A stop-motion/mixed media project, that saw me produce a 2-minute television
advert for my theoretical anti-deforestation campaign - ‘Cut Trash, Not Trees’.

(Submitted the 2025 Creative Conscience competition).

Software:
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator

This self-directed brief for Creative Conscience challenged my motion design skills, while also pushing my comfort zone via stop-motion and audio design. I incorporated mixed media and illustration into a motivating campaign designed to spark change and educate.
As the brief was incredibly open, I opted to produce a 2-minute television advert to push my skills in After Effects and take another leap toward my future career. I was therefore to be self-motivated, organised, and flexibly independent throughout the project - actively requesting and evaluating feedback to ensure I produced the best result possible.

The process required me to out-source content, print tens of A3 sheets of video frames, and draw on/scan in each individual frame to digitally curate the final video. I had to test materials and drawing tools to perfect the intended effect and learnt so much about animation and the art behind a multimedia project like this. I thorughly enjoyed the creative process and value the insights it provided me with.
